When should I order my cake?
For wedding and specialty cakes it is always best to order as early as possible. We recommend you confirm your cake order 6-8 weeks before your event date. For smaller / simpler cakes we recommend you confirm your order 2 weeks in advance as we are always busy and fully booked. However, we have accepted and completed last-minute orders but cannot always guarantee it as it dependent on our work load.
What are the cake serving sizes?

Is a deposit required to confirm a cake order?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required on all cakes over the amount of $100.00. Final payment is due one week before event date.
Am I allowed to cancel a cake order?
We understand that cancellations sometimes happen due to unforeseen circumstances. If cancelling an order please allow 14 days’ notice before event date. If cancellation is made within 14 days of the event, all deposit / payments made on the order will be refunded. Any cancellations, less than 14 days may not be subject to full refund.
Do you offer consultations / tastings for wedding cakes?
Yes. We offer cake consultations in-store at our head office location with our pastry chef, via telephone or email. We also offer cake tastings at our head office location, a $20.00 fee is applicable and will be added to the cost of your order. You will be able to try up to 6 flavours and varieties in cupcake form.
What should I bring to the consultation?
As much information, ideas, and details as you can provide helps us develop your dream cake. We recommend that you bring pictures of cakes and ideas that you like. It also helps to bring any ideas, colours, patterns, fabrics, event invitations and any other inspirations that are related to your event.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, we offer delivery (for cakes or large orders only) within the GTA and surrounding areas. Depending on the location and distance applicable delivery fees vary. We recommend that large, multi-tier cakes be delivered for a safe and sound arrival. Contact our head office for more information.
Do you ship your products?
Unfortunately at this time, we do not ship our products for retail.
Do your products contain nuts?
Nova Era Bakery is not a nut-free environment. Even if a product does not contain nuts, there is always the possibility of cross-contamination. So we suggest that if you do have a severe nut allergy, please refrain from consuming our products.
Do you carry gluten-free products?
At this point Nova Era Bakery does not yet specialize in gluten-free products.
